About this app
Pencil Project is a free and open-source tool for GUI prototyping and diagrams. It comes with ready-made shape collections for designing interfaces: web and desktop widgets, Android and iOS components, flowchart and UML shapes, and lets you build multi-page mockups that link to each other. Designs can be exported to PNG, PDF, SVG or HTML for sharing and simple clickable prototypes. It runs offline as a desktop app on Windows, macOS and Linux, and your files stay on your own computer. It is lighter than Figma and has no real-time team collaboration or cloud features, which makes it a good fit for quick wireframes and mockups rather than full product design.
